Our veteran leadership team has deep expertise in retail digital transformation
Justin dropped out of high school to start his first company, a cross border online marketplace for cell phones. Prior to founding CSC Generation in 2016, Justin worked at 500friends, Merkle (via its acquistion of 500friends), and Wunderkind (early investor and board member) where he saw 5-10% of its customers file for bankruptcy every year due to bad management, culture, technical deck, lack of scale, and of course Amazon. In that, he saw the unsexy opportunity to create an operating platform (tech, people, process, and scale) that would save these companies.
Justin believes the key to CSC’s success is its people, culture, and good luck.
Jordan Voloshin is the Chief Strategy Officer of CSC Generation and the CEO of Sur La Table, a CSC portfolio company. As a co-founder at CSC, Jordan has held a variety of roles over the last several years, which often include driving development at the enterprise level and driving the business operations of one of CSC’s brands.
Most recently prior to leading Sur La Table, he led Z Gallerie as the CEO through the post-acquisition process. On the CSC enterprise side, he most recently has contributed to overarching strategy, but he also played a bigger role in corporate development in the early days of CSC.
Prior to CSC Generation, Jordan worked in private equity at Steelwood Capital, and prior to that, held a leadership role at a startup. When he’s not traveling to portfolio companies, you can find Jordan based in Manhattan Beach, California.
John is the Chief Operating Officer of CSC, overseeing the supply chain as well as several of CSC's brands.
He has a long legacy in retail working for brands such as Harbor Freight Tools, The Disney Stores, eToys, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, and RH. He also worked in technology at Oracle and Williams-Sonoma.
He graduated from the University of Buffalo with a BS in Business Administration and holds an MBA from California State University at Dominguez Hills.
He enjoys the challenges and immediate feedback of working in the scrappy world of a startup. The opportunity to manage emerging businesses reminds him of his “youth” working at eToys during the dot com boom of late 90’s. The excitement of working with so many talented partners is what gets him going each and every day.
He is also an avid hiker, runner (former slow marathon runner), and fan of the Buffalo Bills and the Golden State Warriors. He has a beautiful family that includes his beloved dog Nikita (who many can see on video calls) as well as two cats, all living in the San Francisco Bay area.
Liz joined CSC in November 2020 and oversees our legal and human resources functions. She came to CSC from Groupon, Inc., where she held several roles, including Assistant General Counsel. Liz started her career in private practice with Kirkland & Ellis LLP and served as a federal district court law clerk and federal appellate court law clerk.
Raised in Ukraine and Ohio, Liz attended college at the University of Chicago and law school at the University of Pennsylvania. Liz enjoys working with start-ups because every day is truly an adventure.
Preetam joined CSC in 2017, or was it 2016? Well, it was a really, really long time ago, and that has no bearing on his age. And neither does his rocking chair.
Prior to CSC, Preetam worked at a number of positions that he can’t really remember anymore, but he worked on a lot of really cool and interesting projects. He did not simply clean this entire time. And even if he did clean or fold towels or rinse dishes, he did so as part of his work, which also included some pretty important sounding titles (he’s pretty sure this happened). He currently leads the wyrd systems team at CSC that works on legacy infrastructure and corporate systems as well as one of CSC’s cleaning crews.
They have not cast any spells or performed any seances but have nevertheless resurrected their share of systems over the course of the last several years. He never fails to recount “the good ol’ days” or “that time when he wrote that piece of code that did something” or making groan-inducing puns.
And while he won’t confirm or deny it--or even remember it at this point--he graduated with two bachelors and a law degree from the University of Texas at Austin, is a member in good standing of both the California and Texas bars, was a student of the late Dr. Edgers Dijkstra, worked for defense contractors, chat startups, and law firms before CSC.
